The Challenge: Temporary Cooling During Construction and Commissioning

A data center project required temporary cooling support during construction, commissioning, or transitional operations before the permanent cooling system was fully available. The customer needed a dependable solution capable of delivering significant cooling capacity while supporting air distribution requirements inside the facility.

The challenge was to maintain proper environmental conditions, support commissioning activities, and prevent schedule delays while permanent mechanical systems were still being completed or validated.

The Solution: 500-Ton Chillers and Air Handlers for Rapid Deployment

HVAC RNTL provided temporary 500-ton chillers along with air handlers to deliver the required cooling capacity and air movement. The solution was designed to support the customer’s cooling requirements while giving the project team flexibility during commissioning and system turnover.

The temporary chillers supplied chilled water to the air handlers, which then delivered conditioned air to the required spaces. The package included the necessary equipment, pumps, hoses, power coordination support, and field execution planning required to deploy the system quickly and safely.

This allowed the customer to maintain temperature control, protect sensitive areas, and continue critical commissioning work without waiting for the permanent building systems to be fully operational.
